This was extra fun one to work on! I’ve been having a blast doing these She-Hulk covers—the editorial team gives me a basic prompt every month but doesn’t try to direct me too much beyond that, so I have a lot of freedom to go in whatever direction I feel like, and this one was all about capturing that neo-noir feeling of 80’s detective movies.
Here were the concepts I submitted:
And here’s the final corner box art, along with a closer look at option B—I tightened it up and tried it in a different colorway thinking I might use it for this cover, but ended up deciding to go with the one that was originally in my thumbnail. Maybe I’ll finish it out for a different cover down the road..? It’s always fun drawing Jen in a suit.
I also thought I’d share a detail shot of the main cover art, as well as a textless version for those of you who might want to use it as a wallpaper + sneak-peek of the cover for She-Hulk #8, exclusively for club members! Please don’t share these around, and thank you as always for your support. 🥰💖 Until next time..!
