Not exactly the same type of show as the ones listed, but I've got to recommend Abbot Elementary if you haven't seen it yet. It's the funniest show on TV right now.

Pantheon on AMC+ is one of the best near-future shows I've seen in a long time. The show deals with uploaded intelligence (rather than artificial intelligence) and really dives well into problems with UI/AI and other computational issues. It's got an anime feel to it but it's a western studio. It's an absolute shame that no one watched it (which I think partially has to do with the fact it's gated behind AMC+) but it's honestly an incredible show I can't talk up enough.

On a similar near-future Sci-Fi note, The Peripheral (Amazon Prime) is also good but I deals more with the action-y stuff rather than the philosophical. It's produced by Jon Nolan and Lisa Joy of Westworld fame and based on the book by William Gibson.

I was very involved in the rogue one fandom back when the movie came out (*waves at all my Jyn x Cassian fanfics on ao3*) so maybe I was biased going into Andor, but when I tell you that it’s the greatest thing Lucasfilm has ever created, I would not be exaggerating. I love that you’re loving it too. And agreed — if anything were to happen to B2EMO… *insert Brooklyn 99 gif*

Looking at your list it mostly matches mine, with one exception your list is missing The Peripheral which I highly recommend based on your other viewing.

the patient fucked me up so bad 😭 i adored how extremely jewish it was. it made me want to go back and rewatch the americans, even though i know my little heart wouldn’t be able to take a rewatch.

Fantastic recommendations! Loving ANDOR so much. It's everything that Star Wars has needed and after the last few series (Boba Fett and Obi-Wan were absolutely dreadful and very disappointing, respectively) getting a proper drama series set in that galaxy is a game-changer for the franchise. The sheer inventiveness of just the prison and the torture device are diabolically brilliant.

The contrast between The Rings of Power and The Patient highlights how much money doesn't really matter. I enjoyed TRoP but wasn't very invested in it, whereas The Patient is absolutely gripping.

Just getting to my backlog. On episode 7 of House of the Dragon. You basically listed the shows I need to catch up on.

Andor watcher here! Still a fan of Rogue One.

Also just finished watching The Bastard Son and the Devil Himself. Not a typical choice for me bc of the amount of gore but it had gay stuff in it so off I went. 😂 I did not read the books that serve as the basis for the show. Characters are great, and the queer angle just fits in naturally, it’s not the stereotypical gay movie that I’m tired of bc it just doesn’t feel real to me or relatable as a queer person. Anyway. I do wish there were more fantasy type shows and movies with WLW that aren’t period pieces or tragic though. I do hope the show gets a full set of seasons and the books’ ending is changed........

Thanks for your list! I am also loving Andor, and Sandman was amazing. I'm putting House of the Dragon & The Patient on my list.

I really enjoyed Werewolf by Night. It has a great Universal Monster feel. Star Trek: Lower Decks is super fun if you like Star Trek (think more TNG & DS9 era than Discovery). Everything else I'm watching came out a while ago, but I would recommend Minx if you don't mind lots of nudity. It has some really interesting things to say about feminism and the women's movement.
