ELEKTRA #100

+ Daredevil #1 👹✨

It looks like my follow-up cover for ELEKTRA #100 (above) leaked (?) recently so I figured I’d share it here. Some of you who follow me on Twitter may remember this concept from back when I posted my variant for Daredevil: Woman Without Fear #1:

..And I know just got done saying in my last post that I don’t often get asked to take more than 1 concept to completion, but here’s another rare instance where I was asked to finish out multiple covers. I started on option C soon after I had wrapped A, and even though I had originally planned to go with a classic Daredevil red/black color scheme on whichever concept was selected, I actually failed both times 😂 I can’t help it, my brain thinks in neon bi-lighting I guess. I do miss Elektra’s stabby sai and prefer them over her new “baton” sai visually, but it seems like Marvel is steering away from giving characters weapons that look too realistic/overly threatening, which probably isn’t a bad thing considering how literally some people can take these fantastical stories.
