Have you guys been watching Chainsaw Man? I know it’s the most hyped anime of the year, but there’s definitely valid reason for that hype! I’ve been loving it, the animation is absolutely bonkers and the compositing is seriously *chef’s kiss*. I also finally got fully caught up on the manga so I’m now anticipating future seasons even more, but now I’m suffering the life of a weekly reader. 😭

Here’s a timelapse video for you—I did this drawing from start to finish in Procreate which is kind of unusual for me (not because I don’t like the app, but just because I’m more accustomed to Photoshop and Clip Studio) but I really enjoyed the experience. The only thing is, I am still a little weirded out by the way brushes handle in Procreate; I can only describe it as “slippery”..? It’s kind of like you’re pushing oil around in a puddle of water. It’s weird. You can minimize the feeling by adjusting brush settings but I find it to be a huge chore to go in and do that on all of them so I pretty much just stick with a handful of default round brushes. 🥲 I’m probably more sensitive than most to this though as I also had to go in manually and turn off all brush stabilization in CSP as well, lol.
